WR Bobby Sippio signs with Tuskers
Today the Tuskers announced the signing of WR Bobby Sippio. Sippio is a veteran of several NFL training camps, but is best known for his time in the Arena Football League. Sippio is also a local product, playing his high school ball at Osceola High School in Kissimmee.
Sippio became a household name to arena football fans with his 2007 campaign as part of the Chicago Rush. In that season he totaled 125 receptions for 1,742 yards and 53 touchdowns. Even by arena football standards, that’s a high number of touchdowns. Sippio did spend time in training camp with the UFL’s California Redwoods, but left to join the Detroit Lions. Sippio was also featured during the 2007 version of HBO’s Hard Knocks, chronicling the trials and tribulations of an NFL training camp.
